New Custom Cost Dialog
Lets you create a new custom cost and add it to the database. Use this dialog when you want to create a custom cost from scratch rather than loading it from an external database or modifying an existing custom cost. Mandatory fields appear in bold type.
| Setting | Description |
|---|---|
| Name | The name of the custom cost item. Consists of at least 5 characters but no more than 50 characters. |
| Cost | The cost of the item. |
| Type | The general type of cost that defines the custom cost item. Default types are Fees, Permits, and Services. Cost types consist of various cost categories. |
| Category | The specific category that defines the custom cost item. Categories are subdivisions of types. |
| Description | A descriptive comment about the custom cost. Limited to 255 characters. |
| OK | Closes the dialog and saves any changes. |
| Cancel | Closes the dialog without saving any changes. |
| Custom | Opens a custom dialog for specifying custom attribute values. This button appears dimmed if no custom dialog is available. |
| Help | Opens the Help topic for this dialog. |
